As an artist, I have spent many years photographing landscapes, wildlife, people involved in daily activities as well as architecture. Many of my photographs depict the north-western United States; however, I love to travel and have done so extensively across the US and Canada, Europe and Great Britain, Iceland, Russia, Africa and Madagascar, the Caribbean, South America and South Georgia Island, China, Australia and New Zealand as well as in a number of countries in the Middle East. I seek to capture the unusual, the reflections, and the mystical quality of the world around me. My background as a nurse and educator and my extensive travel lend sensitivity to my observations of life, places and people. I started photographing with film years ago but now exclusively use digital equipment, managing the entire photographic, post-processing, printing and framing processes.
